Can I Replace Normal Lights with LED Lights Myself?

Yes, you can replace standard screw-in bulbs with LED bulbs yourself. For anything beyond a bulb—like new fixtures, recessed/canless retrofits, dimmers or timers, or outdoor/landscape wiring—use a licensed electrician. LEDs often need LED-rated dimmers to prevent flicker. We handle indoor and exterior LED upgrades, troubleshooting, and buried line repairs across Rochester and Webster. We can also upgrade panels or wiring when added lighting requires more capacity.

  • Turn power off at the switch and test.
  • Match base type and wattage-equivalent.
  • Use an LED-compatible dimmer if dimming.
  • Call if wiring, new circuits, or controls are needed.
